Revamped Classic Maps, Map Voting, and More to Grace Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
The multiplayer facet of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will showcase revitalized renditions of 16 iconic maps originally featured in the 2009 release, Modern Warfare 2. Activision has commenced revealing details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, confirming its inclusion of a campaign, an innovative take on Zombies, and, of course, the revival of the franchise’s distinctive multiplayer feature.
Before the grand unveiling, Activision tantalized enthusiasts with insights into what awaits them in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer mode upon its launch later this year. Among these tidbits is the reappearance of red dots on the mini-map, a feature that has now been officially verified. Yet, the classic mini-map isn’t the sole returning highlight that fans of the series can anticipate in Modern Warfare 3.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 reintroduces map voting and allows the utilization of all perks from the match’s outset. Additionally, players can employ the novel Covert Sneakers Perk for silent movement, while the multiplayer health has been augmented to 150, resulting in an extended Time to Kill across all modes except Hardcore. The game introduces a fresh 3v3v3 mode dubbed “Cutthroat,” and enthusiasts will have the chance to engage in battles across the 16 6v6 maps from the 2009 release, Modern Warfare 2. Consequently, Afghan, Derail, Estate, Favela, Karachi, Highrise, Invasion, Quarry, Rundown, Rust, Scrapyard, Skidrow, Sub Base, Terminal, Underpass, and Wasteland will all be prominently featured in the game at its launch.
